Here are three tips to help you work at your best.
1. Take "Microbreaks":
Taking a few minutes now and then can cut work stress while improving your efficiency and mood. Take some rest me to relax, stimulate your mind, or socialize for a few minutes.
2. Don't Do Email After Hours:
I get it, you feel like you need to be there 24/7 for clients or to not miss an important email. The truth is, checking your email after you've clocked off can really affect family life and lead to emotional exhaustion.
Even if you don't have any emails to read, waiting for email notifications can bring on "anticipatory stress" I would stress that you make this rule happen ASAP. Trust me, 90% of those emails you are receiving after 6pm, are not that frigging important. .
Wait until tomorrow you spaz.
3. Use Your Vacation Days For The Love Of God:
I can't understand why and I guess it doesn't sink in for people, but taking vacation time helps you recharge. Those people who take vacation days come back refreshed and perform better at work. Those who don't usually end up with some form of burnout, not to mention they probably annoy the fuck out of other workers because they preach about how much unused time off they have.
Please, you are not doing anyone any favors by working yourself to death and in most cases creating some lackluster work.
